I would be extremely grateful if someone could please shed some light on this.
1) Was the GTS theatre once the Krofft puppet theatre or the one next to it showing the Will Rogers show? 2) Was the Will Rogers Show a puppet show or animatronic? 3) What was The Fun Guns of Dry Gulch all about? Any help would be wonderfully appreciated. |

The Will Rogers Show was next to the Puppett show in a smaller area that was not fully enclosed. Some of the walls for the Will Rogers show are still there as part of the Chute-out que line. The show was a single animatronic. It was along the lines of the Mr. Lincoln show at Disneyland. As far as I know, it worked okay, but it never was a big hit. The Fun Guns replaced the Will Rogers Show at the same location. This was more of a one man stand up comedy act with the guns for props. Each gun was designed for a specific purpose and had a story. It also didn't last too long, although it moved on to some other parks.

There were "funny" stories that went with each gun.
The guns also had special features, like a curved one to shoot around corners. Most of the guns were over-sized and comic looking. I don't remember what the story with this gun was.

Probably a woman who tried to create a gun to make it more convenient to shoot and sew at the same time, judging by the pin cushion at the base of the grip. |
