The GTS game area was first called Doc Snooker’s Magnificent Main Street. It originally consisted of 16 carnival games in a semi-closed area.

Makes sense because you could eat at Ma Snooker's. A pretty fun stand to work by the way.

Doc Snooker's Red Medicine wagon was in the park at least as early as 1962, and maybe opening season. It was moved to Good Times Square when the section opened.

I used to go to Dallas Magic Club with Jerry Guyer. He was the original Doc Snooker at the park who used to do a magic/medicine show at the wagon, plus managed the magic shop across from the tower.

Dang! I forgot about that area.... I worked in a small drink/snack shop in between 2 games for the last month of my first tour out there. That's where I learned how to make cotton candy!

I worked at SFOT during 1973 and my first job was at the Dime-Toss Game in Good Times Square, part of Doc Snooker's Mag Mile.

I hated it. For the first time, I watched guests become frustrated and angry as they threw their money away and rarely won anything. It seemed to go against all that the park stood for.

An opportunity to transfer to Ride Operations came and I applied. I was sent to the other side of the park to work on the Chaparral Antique Car attraction.
It was hard and hot, but I enjoyed it so much more. Even had Sunday's off!

I still remember the foreman, Lewis Huddleston and the Line Hostess, Lisa Kimbrell. Anyone know where they are today?
