Exclamation New Ride for 2009!

I have found out that Six Flags is planning on putting a wooden rollercoaster in next year. The location will be Goodtimes Square. I know Flashback is still in operation, but will be shut down later this year and removed to make room for the new coaster. I don't know what will happen to Johnny Rockets (aka Chubbies) or any of the games down there. Most of you know that the park owns the shopping center out in front, well they will finally be incorperating it into the park and demolish the structures to make room for the new coaster.

Oh, great! Just what the park needs . . another stupid roller coaster!

This reminds me of the idiotic fool who tries to stuff two weeks worth of clothes into a small carry-on bag.

I don't know how much I believe this rumor but goodtimes is definitely in need of a makeover. I always enjoyed working at Flashback but I never enjoyed riding it, hurts too much. Just don't harm Chute Out!

Interesting

I wouldn't mind seeing a clone of Evel Knievel (Six Flags St. Louis) there.

Default Flashback

I would not shed a single tear to see Flashback go! I was foreman there and I still wouldn't miss it. It's loud, rough, slow through put, and there are about 5 million of them at parks all over the country, so its not unique at all. Tear it down and bring back the rotodisco and bumpercars!

How about a huge fun house with a rock and roll theme?

I agree with Chris... speaking as a supervisor, that ride was nothing but a headache. Long lines, miserable throughput, very LOUD, and I had more crazy breakdowns there than any other ride. Plus, it is just a glorified flat ride, in my opinion - it's easy to put in a small space and there are dozens of them around the country. I'd say a wooden roller coaster in that space would be a nice addition.
