I do have the SFOT map from around 1975 maybe earlier, hard to tell. But we still could seriously use any photo we can get of that tower in Confederate Square at SFOG. Reason being, because it forces the tpb3d coders to protocol coding for a dual skyway and also the model of such a tower will have a real life reference point. So it is much more important than many realize here, otherwise they won't make it. If anyone that you know worked at sfog or has a photo of that tower with the dual skyways on it, we seriously can use it. Now's the time to post it here. I'll get a link to it over at the tpb3d forums so they can then make this part a reality in the game. Later you'll thank me for making this move
when you have the ability to make a criss crossing skybucket / skyway ride. |

Was hoping someone had the dual criss-cross tower pic from SFOG, a shame really cause I really would have liked to see this in our game. Seems a replicate park of sfog from that ride's era won't be doable. The photo if anyone could have gotten one would have really been nice.

Have you tried posting on the SFOG fan forum? I'm sure someone there has, or has access to, a pic of the skyride tower.

Thanks Twisted, found exactly what I was searching for
always nice to find photos or even better, vids of old bygone rides.![]() Hopefully the senior lead coder and Von Roll modeler/expert can make this for us, time will tell. |

Awesome! Don't know why I didn't think of that site earlier. I should bonk myself on the head....

Well expert Von Roll and lift guy and master modeler Vodhin has the photo now, senior lead coder AlabamaCajun now has a photo of a prototype ride part to nail, and the Ride Historians are now going to push seriously for a prototype piece to go in game some how, so it will be very interesting to see how they overcome the obstacle of two separate rides operation off a single tower like this.
I guess I was always famous for throwing these monkey wrenches into the project ![]() |

TPB3D gets wooden twister coasters, now confirmed working. Not to worry, this pic is the very raw basics, it'll look much better later on. So essentially we have both steel and now woodie coasters working in game. Paths, soon plaza areas which are wide and curvy plaza areas where many people can gather for shops etc.
![]() Flat rides we should see by Friday will include the Polyp, Eyerly Octopus, Spider, single and dual tub versions on both the spider and octopus, and finally Monster rides too, essentially similar to the polyp ride. Lots more coding in place and now many coders have joined in. Water in parks, fractal land developer tools for making the park as you want it. A Von Roll Skyway working in the initial release is going to happen I am told with a 101 gondola bail. Small Carousel, we don't have enough for larger carousels at the moment. User Interface for many aspects so you will be able to build some stuff and tinker around as development continues to proceed. Last edited by slickdude : August 3rd, 2010 at 11:31 PM. |

![]() TPB3D adds distant backgrounds, atmosphere and yes those are actual working flatrides in the game. Bear in mind the texture situation will improve. That is a Polyp ride and a TechnoJump ride. Both of those will include a ride sequencer so you can have the ride follow different actions for passengers. No two park rides will run the same with the ride sequencer added to code. Yes trees and fauna are also making it into the game. ----- Sartori employee watching TPB3D up close now as are other real life ride developers. ----- Coding for the fractal landscape, and water tables now is nearing completion. This means you will be able to build things like tunnels and lakes and rivers. Water on rides another consideration for example the new Martine "Maritime" Diving Bell ride. This is a ride that might not exist anymore but once was popularized in the late 1950's at such places as Coney Island and Pacific Ocean Park in Santa Monica California. It was the poor man's submarine ride of sorts ![]() ![]() Other rides in game as mentioned earlier the Sartori TechnoJump ride is a great model and has awesome texturing. With sound FX and a custom ride sequencer this should prove a ride most park builders and online park admins will grab fast. ![]() |
